JAMSHEDPUR – Two second-hand cars were destroyed after another late-night fire erupted at a used car showroom in Golmuri’s Tuiladungri area on Friday.

A fire broke out inside the Sai Motors premises late Friday. The showroom operates in the Golmuri area of Jamshedpur.

Local residents first noticed smoke from one parked vehicle. Meanwhile, flames spread rapidly within minutes.

Another nearby car soon caught fire. Both vehicles were completely destroyed afterward.

Moreover, panic spread across the neighborhood after the explosion-like sounds. Residents gathered outside the showroom during the incident.

Fire brigade teams reached the spot after receiving information. However, both vehicles were already heavily damaged then.

Meanwhile, firefighters controlled the blaze after prolonged efforts. Nearby parked vehicles were safely protected afterward.

Residents said another car caught fire at the same premises earlier. The repeated incidents have created fear among nearby people.

Initially, electrical short circuit was suspected behind the incident. However, residents now suspect possible involvement of miscreants.

Locals claimed several vehicles remain parked beside the roadside daily. They warned that delayed action could have caused massive losses.

Several vehicles carrying “For Sale” signs remain parked regularly. Meanwhile, locals claimed such parking increases accident and fire risks.

A resident said the flames were spreading dangerously within minutes. “The nearby vehicles could have burned completely,” the resident added.

After the incident, Golmuri police started an investigation immediately. Officials are examining the exact reason behind the repeated fires.
