KOLKATA – A commemorative classical music and dance concert will be held in eastern India this month.
The cultural organisation THE VOYAGE will present Voyage Concert 2026. The event will be held at Gyan Manch in Kolkata.
The concert is scheduled for February 18, 2026. It is organised in memory of founder Paresh Nath Ghosal.
The event commemorates Ghosal’s contribution to Indian classical arts. His work focused on preservation and promotion.
Internationally acclaimed tabla exponent Pandit Samar Saha will attend. He will serve as the chief guest.
The programme will begin with an invocation. Papia Ghosal will perform Shiv Vandana.
The opening classical recital will feature Deboshree Bhattacharjee. He will present Hindustani vocal music.
Amitangshu Brahma will accompany on tabla. Gaurav Chatterjee will perform on harmonium.
This recital will be followed by a bansuri performance. Pandit Sudip Chattopadhyay will lead the segment.
Subir Thakur will provide tabla accompaniment. The recital will focus on classical flute compositions.
The concluding performance will feature Kathak dance. Vidushi Madhumita Roy will present the recital.
Her disciples will join the performance. They include Shriyanka Mali, Animikha Dey, and Chandrika Desh.
Jaydeep Sinha will provide vocal support. Sandip Neogi will accompany on sitar.
Amitangshu Brahma will return on tabla. The segment will conclude the evening.
