JAMSHEDPUR – A stabbing incident near Gopal Maidan injured two youths on Wednesday evening.

The incident occurred under the Bistupur police station jurisdiction. The location was close to Gopal Maidan.

According to eyewitnesses, the victims had visited the area for work. However, an argument suddenly broke out there.

The dispute involved youths from the Rupnagar area of Kadma. Meanwhile, the verbal clash escalated rapidly.

Soon, the confrontation turned violent. The attackers allegedly pulled out knives.

They launched repeated stabbing blows. Consequently, both victims suffered serious injuries.

One injured youth was identified as Prem. He was a resident of Rupnagar in Sonari.

Prem suffered deep injuries to his abdomen. Moreover, his hand was also seriously wounded.

The second victim was identified as Sandeep. He also belonged to Sonari’s Rupnagar locality.

Sandeep was stabbed in the chest. In addition, injuries were reported on his back.

Both youths collapsed on the road, bleeding heavily. On the other hand, the attackers fled.

Bystanders immediately intervened and provided help. Subsequently, the injured were rushed to hospital.

They were admitted for emergency treatment. Doctors continued monitoring their condition.

Police were informed about the attack soon after. Meanwhile, an investigation was initiated.

The incident added to crime concerns in Bistupur. Similar cases were reported earlier.

A knife attack case was reported in the area previously. Besides, assault incidents have occurred nearby.
