Police Foil Major Crime Plot in Jamshedpur, Arrest Six

Officers recover firearm and ammunition during raid at Turiyabeda farmhouse

JAMSHEDPUR – Police arrested six individuals, including two women, during a raid at a farmhouse in Turiyabeda under MGM police station jurisdiction while they were planning a major criminal operation.

Patmada DSP Bachandev Kujur received intelligence about suspicious activity. The information indicated that criminals were gathering at Anil Kumar’s farmhouse. They were reportedly armed and planning a significant crime.

However, police teams conducted a coordinated raid at the location. Officers arrested Ankit Sharma, Anil Kumar, Bhola Kumar, Yogendra Kumar Prasad, Maya Kaur and Sita Devi. Meanwhile, the operation yielded one country-made automatic pistol.

Police also recovered one magazine and three live cartridges. The suspects belong to the notorious Amarnath Singh gang. On the other hand, interrogation of all arrestees is currently underway.

Three male suspects have criminal backgrounds. Ankit Sharma faces previous charges. Moreover, Anil Kumar and Yogendra Kumar Prasad also have prior records. The two women arrestees have no criminal history.

Jamshedpur police are investigating the gang’s network. Officers are searching for other members. In addition, authorities are working to prevent the planned crime.

DSP Kujur confirmed the timely intervention. He stated that police action prevented a major incident. Furthermore, legal proceedings are being initiated against all suspects. The arrested individuals are being processed according to law.

Police teams remain on alert. They continue monitoring criminal activities in Bistupur and surrounding areas. Besides, officers are conducting additional searches for gang associates. The investigation has revealed potential leads.

Authorities are examining the suspects’ connections. The gang’s operations span multiple areas. In contrast, this arrest marks a significant breakthrough. Officers believe more arrests will follow soon. The probe continues into organized criminal networks.
