DHANBAD – A toxic gas leak in Kenduadih police station area affected dozens of residents on Tuesday. The incident caused panic across multiple neighborhoods.

Rajput Basti, Masjid Mohalla and Number 5 area reported strong foul smell. More than 24 people fell ill. Moreover, one pet parrot died from gas exposure.

BCCL safety officers arrived with gas detection equipment. Kenduadih station in-charge joined the investigation team. Furthermore, officials inspected affected localities thoroughly.

Preliminary investigations suggest gas emission near GM Guest House. The source appears to be around bushes. However, exact gas type remains unidentified.

Area Safety Officer from Kusunda provided assessment details. Gas presence is suspected in surrounding locations. Besides, the odor intensity is quite strong.

Officials are reporting findings to higher authorities. On the other hand, preparations for stopping leakage continue. The gas percentage hasn’t been determined yet.
