JAMSHEDPUR – A major theft occurred in the busy Bata Chowk area of Jugsalai when a youth entered an open jewellery shop and escaped with stones valued between ₹10 and ₹12 lakh.

The incident happened at the James House shop. The owner stepped out briefly. However, the staff also left to buy items from a nearby store. The shop remained open during this short gap.

A youth noticed the opportunity. Moreover, he entered the shop quickly. He broke the lock of a cash box. He then took sapphire, emerald and topaz stones kept inside. The act was captured clearly on CCTV.
