JNAC Launches Anti-Encroachment Drive in Sakchi Market

Deputy Town Commissioner Krishna Kumar Leads Action Against Illegal Parking, Street Vendors

Key Points:

  • JNAC removes street vendors and clears illegally parked vehicles
  • Building owners with parking facilities issued notices for violations
  • Authorities deflate tires and seize carts to ensure compliance

JAMSHEDPUR – Deputy Town Commissioner Krishna Kumar led an anti-encroachment operation in Sakchi market, clearing vendors and illegally parked vehicles.

The JNAC official arrived with his department team today. They conducted a major crackdown against encroachments in Sakchi market. Officials first cleared all roadside carts from the area.

Subsequently, they removed vehicles parked illegally on roads. Announcements were made through loudspeakers to vehicle owners. However, many failed to comply with the directives.

Authorities deflated tires of non-compliant vehicles as enforcement. The department also confiscated several roadside carts during operation. Moreover, fines were collected from seized cart owners.

Krishna Kumar explained the rationale behind this action. Traffic congestion remains a persistent problem in Sakchi market daily. Common people face considerable difficulties due to jams.

Emergency vehicles struggle to navigate through crowded streets. Ambulances and fire department vehicles encounter significant obstacles regularly. Besides, this situation prompted the current enforcement drive.

Building owners received notices for parking rule violations. Many establishments have designated parking facilities on premises. On the other hand, they allow vehicles on streets.

The Deputy Town Commissioner emphasized continuity of enforcement measures. “This action will continue regularly,” Krishna Kumar stated. Officials aim to maintain clear roads in market.

The operation targeted multiple violations simultaneously in market. Street vendors operating without proper authorization faced removal. In addition, unauthorized parking spots were systematically cleared.

Authorities collected penalties from violators during the drive. The team worked systematically through different market sections. Furthermore, officials documented all violations for future reference.

Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee plans sustained enforcement campaigns. Regular monitoring will prevent recurrence of encroachments ahead. Meanwhile, public cooperation remains essential for long-term success.

Recent developments show JNAC’s commitment to urban management. The department previously issued warnings to defaulting contractors over project delays. Earlier, authorities demolished illegal basement construction in Sonari. The committee also removed over 50 illegal hoardings from city areas. Additionally, JNAC ordered surveys of buildings violating construction norms.
