Tatanagar Station Security Boost: RPF and GRP Join Forces
Enhanced Security Measures at Tatanagar Station: RPF and GRP to Collaborate in January
Tatanagar station is set to receive a significant security upgrade as the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Police (GRP) join hands to enhance safety measures.
JAMSHEDPUR – In response to security concerns, Railway SP Rishabh Jha announced a coordinated effort between the RPF and GRP to strengthen security at Tatanagar station.
A strategy will be developed in a joint meeting scheduled for January, focusing on enhancing station safety.
Key aspects of the security upgrade include a comprehensive audit of the station’s entry gates and parking areas to identify and address any vulnerabilities.
The deployment of additional CCTV cameras and personnel at strategic locations is a primary focus of the initiative.
Discussions with railway officials are underway to ensure the effective implementation of these security measures.
The decision to boost security comes in the wake of incidents involving anti-social elements and criminal activities in the station’s vicinity.
Authorities are particularly concerned about the daily congregation of undesirable elements on the deserted footbridge, which has been a focal point for criminal planning.
The footbridge, once closed following a firing incident, was reopened after public requests but continues to pose a security challenge.
The Railway Police’s ongoing manpower shortage has prompted repeated requests to the RPF for enhanced security collaboration.
This new initiative marks a significant step towards ensuring the safety and security of passengers and staff at Tatanagar station.
