JNAC Demolishes Illegal Basement in Sonari Apartment

Authorities take action against unauthorized construction at Niharika Apartment

Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee cracks down on building plan violations in East Layout, Sonari.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) demolished the unauthorized basement of Niharika Apartment in Sonari’s East Layout on Thursday.

The operation targeted Holding Number 19, where the basement was built in violation of the approved building plan.

JNAC officials reported that the five-storey portion of the building also deviated from sanctioned plans.

Suburban Commissioner Krishna Kumar stated that multiple notices were issued to the property owners before the demolition.

"We received no response to our notices, leaving us no choice but to take action," Kumar explained.

A JNAC squad carried out the demolition, effectively removing the illegal basement structure.

Authorities issued a stern warning to the building owner following the action.

The owner has been instructed to present all relevant map documents at the JNAC office to explain the violations.

"This action serves as a clear message to all builders and property owners in the area," emphasized Commissioner Kumar.

He warned that future violations of approved building plans would result in strict punitive measures.

The demolition highlights JNAC’s commitment to enforcing building regulations in Jamshedpur.

Local residents have expressed support for the action, citing concerns about unauthorized constructions in the area.
