A second call went unanswered. Then a return call reported an assault on Pratap. Moreover, the injured worker had been rushed to a hospital.
Doctors at MGM later declared him dead. His body now remains at the cold storage unit. However, his family from Punjab will arrive on Tuesday. The autopsy will then proceed.

Investigators have begun questioning the accused. They are also examining worker statements. Besides, officers are assessing the construction site area to verify events.
Meanwhile, prior crime cases in the region, like the Sirkatola Baridih killing, have heightened scrutiny of local policing.
