JAMSHEDPUR – A man’s body was found hanging from a tree in Shivnarayanpur forest under Adityapur police station jurisdiction on Sunday afternoon, with his family suspecting murder.

The deceased has been identified as Phani Pramanik. Local residents discovered the body around noon. They immediately alerted Adityapur police station. The incident caused panic in the area.

Pinku Pramanik, son of the deceased, expressed suspicions about his father’s death. “I suspect my father was murdered,” he said. He pointed to injury marks on his father’s legs. The marks suggest a possible assault before death.

“It appears someone killed him first,” Pinku added. “Then they hung him from the tree.” However, he has not named any suspects yet.

Police arrived at the scene promptly. They took custody of the body. An investigation has been launched immediately. Officers are conducting inquiries in nearby areas.

Preliminary investigations suggest foul play is possible. However, officials maintain caution about drawing conclusions. The exact cause of death remains unclear.

A postmortem examination has been ordered. Police stated the complete details will emerge after receiving the report. The investigation continues as authorities gather evidence from the scene.
