JAMSHEDPUR – Chaos broke out on the Sonari-Kadma Link Road when a police vehicle suddenly veered into people walking along the roadside and struck several parked cars.

Eyewitnesses said that the police personnel driving the car lost control, hitting pedestrians and damaging multiple vehicles. One woman, identified as Sangeeta Devi, sustained minor injuries after being knocked down. Her hand was hurt in the impact.

The Kadma police immediately sent the injured woman to a hospital in their official jeep for treatment. Fortunately, no major injuries were reported in the incident.

However, the situation quickly escalated as local residents surrounded the police officer, protesting the reckless act. Soon after, Kadma police arrived at the scene and tried to calm the agitated crowd.

Meanwhile, vehicle owners demanded compensation for the damages caused to their cars. The police have begun reviewing the incident to determine accountability.
