JAMSHEDPUR – The Kadma police have solved the Rs 20 lakh robbery that took place in Jamshedpur’s Kadma area, arresting five suspects and recovering looted valuables and weapons.
The case relates to an incident on October 9 around 7:30 p.m. when seven to eight masked men armed with weapons broke into the residence of Deep Raj Singh on Ramnagar Road No. 2. The robbers held the family hostage in one room and escaped with gold, cash, and expensive items worth nearly Rs 20 lakh.
Following the incident, Kadma P.S. Case No. 96/25 was registered. Under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed, which successfully cracked the case.
According to City SP Shivashish, the arrested individuals are Mohammad Saddam, Faheem Alam, Krishna Lohar alias Paadi, Sayoraj Singh alias Jasse Paaji, and Kunal Singh Munda. From their possession, police seized a country-made pistol, two live cartridges, a gold bracelet, a Titan wristwatch, a scooter, and a CNG auto-rickshaw.
However, police revealed that the accused were previously involved in serious crimes such as murder, theft, and burglary. Meanwhile, raids are underway to arrest other absconding members of the gang.
