JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leaders gathered in Jamshedpur for Deendayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary with state party chief Babulal Marandi as chief guest.
The event was hosted by Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP in seminar format. Distinguished guests included Jamshedpur East MLA Purnima Sahu, state spokesperson Amarpreeet Singh Kale, district president Sudhanshu Ojha, former MP Abha Mahato, and BJP leader Dr. Meera Munda. Several district leaders and workers also joined the program.
Marandi spoke extensively on Deendayal Upadhyay’s life and his role in Jana Sangh. He traced the journey from the Jan Sangh to the BJP for party workers. Meanwhile, he took media questions openly and responded directly.
On the Ghatsila bypoll, he confirmed BJP’s strong contest. However, he clarified that the candidate decision would rest with central leadership. According to him, infiltration and tribal issues would dominate the bypoll.
Moreover, Marandi launched scathing attacks on the state government. He alleged rising corruption and emboldened criminals in Jharkhand. He pointed to rapid demographic changes in Santhal Pargana. He also mentioned bomb recoveries from houses in the region, calling it evidence of government failure.
“In the coming elections, these issues will be taken to the people,” a party source said.
