JAMSHEDPUR – Panic spread in Gandhinagar under Bagbera police station when a man was shot twice and rushed to TMH for treatment.
The incident happened when Popo Munda was resting at his house. However, allegedly a local criminal Badal, arrived there and opened fire. Two bullets hit Popo in his private parts.
Soon after the firing, locals rushed him to Tata Main Hospital. Moreover, doctors later stated that his condition was stable and out of danger.
An eyewitness, Gudia, confirmed that Badal fired two shots directly at Popo. Meanwhile, police teams secured the spot and collected one empty cartridge.
DSP Tauqeer Alam reached the crime scene soon after receiving information. In addition, he began a detailed investigation into the firing case.
According to the DSP, personal enmity appeared to be the main cause of the attack. He also assured that police were probing all possible angles.
“The accused has already been identified, and further investigation is in progress,” DSP Alam stated.
