Jamshedpur MP Proposes Elevated Corridor; Gadkari Suggests Phased Approach

Gadkari Advises Incremental Flyover Construction in Jamshedpur to MP Mahato

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato’s meeting with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari focused on the Pardih-Baliguma elevated route, leading to a recommendation for phased construction due to budget constraints.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Member of Parliament, Bidyut Baran Mahato, recently met with Union Highways and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss the construction of the Pardih-Baliguma elevated route.

During the meeting, Union Minister Gadkari informed MP Mahato that the proposed Double Decker Elevated Corridor would require an additional Rs 2200 crore.

Given the substantial additional funding needed, the project must undergo cabinet re-approval.

Gadkari suggested an incremental approach to the project, advising the construction of a flyover first, which fits within the current budget.

The Union Minister stressed that starting with a flyover is a feasible and immediate solution.

Responding to this, MP Mahato emphasized the urgent need for the flyover in the region.

Gadkari directed the relevant personnel to initiate work on the flyover after a site inspection.

Additionally, MP Mahato sought approval for an underpass at Phuldungri in Ghatsila and Kaliadinga Chowk in Baharagora.

The Union Minister assented to these requests and also approved a bypass route near Dhalbhumgarh.

This meeting signifies a step forward in addressing Jamshedpur’s infrastructure needs, with a focus on practical and phased development.
