JAMSHEDPUR – Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, with sponsorship from JCAPCPL, organized a health camp at Prem Jyoti campus on September 1. A total of 33 girls were administered the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine.
Rotarian Dr. Sujata Mitra, Chair of Rotary Health Suraksha Kavach, highlighted the importance of vaccination. She explained that the HPV vaccine is a safe and effective measure to protect against cervical cancer, one of the leading cancers affecting women in India.
She noted that timely vaccination provides long-term health protection and reduces the societal burden of cervical cancer. “Rotary is committed to ensuring that every child, especially from weaker sections, gets access to life-saving health services,” she said.
The Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West expressed gratitude to JCAPCPL for supporting this preventive healthcare initiative.
