Ex-CM Raghubar Das visits PMAY construction site at Birsanagar

Jamshedpur: The Former Chief Minister and National Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party Raghubar Das on Wednesday visited and took stock of the construction site of 10,728 houses to be built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Birsanagar and Bagunahatu.

After taking stock of the construction sites, he said that during his Chief Ministership, approval for construction of 9592 and 1136 houses had been given in Birsanagar and Bagunhatu under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana respectively. The work had already started. But due to the indifference of the present government and the stubbornness of the leaders, the work was stalled for almost one and a half years.

He said that by now this plan would have been completed and people would have started living in their houses, if the government had done its job properly.

He said that now the construction work has begun in Birsanagar, but the construction work of Bagunhatu is still far off.

He urged the state government to start work on the proposed Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at Bagunhatu soon.

He asked the office bearers and workers of BJP to regularly supervise the construction work.

The former Chief Minister also met the local residents and listened to their grievances.

This construction is being carried out by JUDCO under the supervision of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee.

During his visit, Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Gunjan Yadav, General Secretary Rakesh Singh, senior BJP leader Bhupinder Singh, office secretary Boltu Sarkar, Birsanagar Mandal President Bablu Gop, former Mandal President Shri Ram Prasad and many others were also present.
