Schoolgirls Share Experiences of ISRO Educational Tour With DC
Deputy Commissioner Hosts Students After Three-Day Learning Visit

JAMSHEDPUR – Twenty-eight schoolgirls from East Singhbhum met Deputy Commissioner Karan Satyarthi after a three-day ISRO-led educational tour.
The group represented different government schools. They had traveled under the initiative inspired by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. During a fellowship meal at the DC’s residence, the girls shared their impressions.
They expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and the DC. They said the exposure had changed their vision. Many described it as a once-in-a-lifetime chance.
For most of them, it was their first flight experience. They also visited different states and districts for the first time.
The highlight was their visit to the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. They observed satellite launch processes and learned about space research.
Moreover, they toured Mahabalipuram and various museums in Chennai. At RMK Institute of Engineering, they viewed technical innovations.
In addition, they interacted with students at Model School, Kovalam. They admired their discipline and cooperation. The group also visited M.A. Chidambaram Stadium and the Railway Museum.
One student said, “Everything felt new and inspiring, from flights to science and heritage.”
Meanwhile, DC Satyarthi lauded their enthusiasm. He said the journey gave their dreams new direction. According to him, such programs build knowledge and confidence. He believed some of them would become scientists or specialists in future.
The event was also attended by Deputy Development Commissioner Nagendra Paswan, DTO Dhananjay, outgoing Dumka DTO Mrityunjay Kumar, Assistant Director Neha Sanjana Khalkho, DEO Manoj Kumar, DSE Ashish Kumar, teachers, and others.
