GARHWA – Police in Garhwa have made a breakthrough in the murder of a man whose body was discovered near the Ahirpurwa railway line.
The body, identified as Rahul Kumar, was found under suspicious circumstances last week in the Nagar Untari area.
Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Pandey revealed that the investigation pointed to a love affair as the primary motive.
According to the findings, Kumar’s friend, Mohan Paswan, is accused of luring him with alcohol before committing the crime with an axe.
Suspect Apprehended
Garhwa police arrested Paswan, who reportedly confessed during questioning.
SP Pandey highlighted the role of forensic evidence and witness testimonies in solving the case.
“A painstaking investigation led us to identify the suspect,” he said.

Paswan allegedly premeditated the murder out of jealousy stemming from Kumar’s relationship.
SP Pandey stated, "This case underscores the dangers of unresolved personal conflicts escalating into violence."
