PURI – Kathak dancer Meghavi Bairagi from Hugli, Triveni was honored with the prestigious “Nrityashri Samman” for her performance at the National Dance Festival, “Puri Mahotsav,” held at Jagannath Dham, Puri.

The young dancer impressed the audience with her Kathak presentation. She performed on different traditional bols and received thunderous applause.

Meghavi began her dance training with Guru Anju Bhattacharjee. At present, she continues her advanced lessons under Hindoli Neogi.

A spectator at the event said, “Her rhythm and graceful moves captured everyone’s attention throughout the show.”
