Krishna Kumar Kharia Takes Charge as President for 2025-26

JAMSHEDPUR – Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City celebrated its 31st foundation with Krishna Kumar Kharia assuming presidency and Jitesh Kumar Choudhary taking secretary position for 2025-26.

The celebration featured City SP Kumar Shivashish as chief guest. Meanwhile, Abhijit A. Nanoti, Managing Director of JCAPCPL, attended as distinguished guest. However, outgoing president Shivani Goyal and secretary Priyanka Singh also graced the occasion.

Outgoing secretary Priyanka Singh handed over the secretary collar. On the other hand, former District Governor Pratim Banerjee honored newly elected board members with Rotary pins.

Chief guest Kumar Shivashish launched the club’s official T-shirt. Moreover, he released the members’ directory during the ceremony. Furthermore, he praised the club’s service activities from the previous year.

The police officer expressed confidence in the new executive. In addition, he urged members to lead with compassion and cooperation. Besides, he emphasized working under Rotary International’s global theme ‘Unite for Good’.

PDG Pratim Banerjee served as installing officer during the event. Regional Director Sharat Chandra formally inducted new members Shalu Khetan and Anchal Kharia. However, the ceremony witnessed participation from various district officials.

PDG R. Bharat and Dr. Vijaya Bharat attended the function. Moreover, AG Rotarian Kusum Thakur and Rotarian D.N. Jena were present. In contrast, presidents and secretaries from other Rotary clubs also participated.

Newly elected president Krishna Kumar Kharia expressed gratitude for the trust. On the other hand, he pledged focused leadership considering global and district objectives. Furthermore, his leadership will emphasize community service initiatives.

The 2025-26 executive committee includes key positions:

Krishna Kumar Kharia serves as president. Meanwhile, Jitesh Kumar Choudhary takes secretary responsibilities. However, Saurabh Agarwal becomes treasurer for the term.

Preeti Khara assumes vice-president duties. On the other hand, Umang Jhunjhunwala becomes president-elect. Moreover, the executive includes specialized mentors and directors.

Club administration features Uday Dhir as mentor. In addition, Manju Bhamra serves as director for administration. Besides, Deepak Dokania handles foundation directorship responsibilities.

Service projects team includes Smita Parikh as mentor. However, Nikita Mehta directs service project initiatives. Furthermore, membership development involves Alpa Parikh as mentor.

Amrita Vakhariya leads membership directorship duties. On the other hand, Simran Saggu handles youth generation programs. Moreover, public image management involves Vishal Agarwala as mentor.

Udit Agarwal serves as public image director. Meanwhile, Milli Jakatiya takes sergeant-at-arms responsibilities. However, the leadership team includes additional members.

The expanded team features Savak Patel and Raksha Makti. In addition, Priyanka Agarwal and Nitulika Singh contribute leadership. Besides, Neha Agarwal and Nalin Goyal provide guidance.

Ravi Rungta and Naveen Agarwal support initiatives. Moreover, Pernika Agarwal and Rajiv Chopra participate actively. Furthermore, Chetan and Hetal Adesra complete the leadership roster.

The foundation ceremony attracted significant attendance from Rotary community. However, district and zonal officials participated enthusiastically. Moreover, representatives from sister clubs joined the celebration.

A total of 110 members and invited guests attended. On the other hand, the event showcased strong community support. Furthermore, the gathering demonstrated Rotary’s local influence and reach.
