Aagaaz Group Marks Guru Purnima at Historic West Bengal Gurudwara
Sikh devotees undertake spiritual journey to Chandrakona for sacred rituals
Aagaaz members celebrate Guru Purnima with holy dip and prayers at Chandrakona Gurudwara, a site linked to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s visit, joining monthly Kirtan Darbar.
JAMSHEDPUR – Aagaaz organization members journeyed to Chandrakona Gurudwara Sahib in West Bengal to observe Guru Purnima, partaking in sacred ceremonies.
The delegation, led by Aagaaz’s founder president Inderjit Singh, engaged in spiritual activities at the revered site. Participants immersed themselves in the adjacent holy lake, offering prayers for universal well-being.
"Visiting Chandrakona Gurudwara on Guru Purnima filled us with a profound sense of connection to our heritage," expressed Gurbachan Singh Raju, a member of the pilgrimage group.
The pilgrims included Bal Singh Sunny, Singh Ranjit, Singh Gurpreet, Kumar Rohit, Mohanty Abhay, Singh Gurdayal, Singh Avtar, Singh Rajdeep, and Singh Malvinder, alongside other devotees.
Chandrakona Gurudwara Sahib, also known as Gurudwara Sahib Nanaksar, holds significant historical importance in Sikhism. Tradition states that Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj once graced this land with his presence.
The site hosts a grand Kirtan Darbar every full moon, attracting pilgrims from various regions including Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha for darshan and spiritual enlightenment.
