JAMSHEDPUR – Bistupur police have solved the Khau Galli shooting incident within 24 hours of the crime occurring on Thursday night.

Three criminals involved in the attack have been arrested by the investigation team. Police recovered crucial evidence including the semi-automatic pistol used in shooting. Moreover, three live bullets and the motorcycle were seized from their possession.

The arrested youths include Badal Kumar Prasad alias Kala from Bagbeda. Pawan Kumar from Kitadih and Mohammad Wajid alias Hablu were also taken into custody. However, authorities suspect more individuals remain involved in the conspiracy.

The criminals had conducted reconnaissance before targeting Samaresh Singh alias Guddu. Singh serves as representative of CKP MLA Sukhram Urao. Additionally, the attackers fled on motorcycle immediately after the shooting incident.

Senior Superintendent of Police issued immediate instructions following the attack. Deputy Superintendent Manoj Thakur led the special investigation team formation. Furthermore, technical evidence and intelligence inputs guided their swift operation.

The team conducted raids based on digital surveillance and informant reports. Technical analysis helped identify the suspects’ locations quickly. Meanwhile, coordinated efforts ensured no escape routes remained available.

Police recovered significant evidence during the arrests on Saturday. The semi-automatic weapon matched ballistic reports from the crime scene. Besides, live ammunition confirmed the suspects’ preparation for violence.

Main accused Badal Kumar Prasad has extensive criminal background. Cases under rape and POCSO Act are registered against him. However, investigators are examining connections to other pending cases.

SSP Piyush Pandey revealed details during Saturday’s press conference. The investigation continues to identify additional conspirators involved. Moreover, efforts to arrest other suspects are underway across multiple locations.
