JAMSHEDPUR – Tanushree Roy, a local entrepreneur, has established a new bakery and confectionery business in Kadma area, creating employment opportunities for four women while promoting self-reliance initiatives.
The establishment, named ‘The Lam Royce Bakery and Confectionery’, opened its doors on Tuesday in Kadma Shastrinagar Block 1. Social and cultural activist Purbi Ghosh inaugurated the venture by cutting the ribbon.
However, the initiative extends beyond mere business operations. Purbi Ghosh praised the entrepreneurial effort during the opening ceremony. She emphasized the alignment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for women’s self-reliance.
“This endeavor by Tanushree Roy deserves appreciation,” a local source stated. The bakery owner has created employment for four women. Moreover, this step demonstrates practical implementation of women empowerment principles.
The new establishment offers diverse food products to local customers. Tanushree Roy explained that the bakery serves vegetarian pastries and cakes. In addition, customers can purchase cookies, donuts, and brownies.
Furthermore, the menu includes hot dogs, pizzas, and burgers. The bakery also provides attractive discount offers to customers. Meanwhile, the focus remains on quality food preparation and customer satisfaction.
The business venture represents more than commercial success. Tanushree Roy emphasized that profit generation is not the sole objective. On the contrary, the primary goal involves making women self-dependent.
Besides, the initiative aims to create sustainable employment opportunities. The bakery serves as a model for other women entrepreneurs. Additionally, it contributes to the local economy of Kadma area.
Women’s entrepreneurship has gained momentum in Jamshedpur recently. Several government schemes support such initiatives across Jharkhand state. However, practical implementation requires individual determination and community support.
The timing of this launch coincides with national self-reliance campaigns. Modi’s government has launched multiple programs for women’s economic empowerment. In contrast, grassroots implementation depends on local entrepreneurs like Tanushree Roy.
