Jharkhand Bar Council Seeks Central Funds for Advocate Welfare Schemes
Senior Lawyer Rajesh Shukla Urges Law Minister for Better Infrastructure
Key Points:
- Bar Council Vice Chairman writes to Union Law Minister Meghwal
- Demands central funding allocation for advocate welfare programs
- Many districts lack proper seating and basic infrastructure facilities
JAMSHEDPUR – Jharkhand State Bar Council Vice Chairman Rajesh Kumar Shukla has approached the central government seeking financial support for advocate welfare initiatives across the state.
The senior advocate sent an email to Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. He requested central funding allocation for strengthening advocate welfare schemes. Moreover, the communication emphasized urgent infrastructure needs in various districts.
Shukla’s initiative follows the postponement of Minister Meghwal’s Ranchi visit. The program was scheduled for June 6 but got cancelled. However, advocates urged Shukla to proceed with their demands regardless.
The Bar Council leader submitted the request letter today itself. He highlighted critical infrastructure deficiencies facing legal professionals statewide. Additionally, the communication stressed the need for immediate government intervention.
According to Shukla’s letter, many districts lack adequate facilities for advocates. Several subdivisions also suffer from poor infrastructure arrangements currently. Furthermore, basic amenities remain unavailable in numerous court complexes.
The senior lawyer emphasized that proper seating arrangements are missing. Many advocates struggle with inadequate working spaces in court premises. Moreover, essential infrastructure facilities remain largely inaccessible to legal professionals.
Jharkhand’s legal community faces significant challenges in rural areas particularly. Court complexes in remote districts often lack basic amenities. Additionally, advocates must work under extremely difficult conditions regularly.
The welfare schemes currently operate with limited state funding only. Central government support could significantly enhance program effectiveness statewide. Furthermore, additional resources would improve infrastructure development across all districts.
Bar Council representatives believe central funding will transform legal infrastructure. Better facilities would improve justice delivery systems throughout Jharkhand. Moreover, enhanced working conditions would benefit both advocates and clients.
The request comes amid growing concerns about legal infrastructure gaps. Many court complexes require urgent upgrades and modern facilities. Additionally, advocate welfare programs need substantial financial support for expansion.
A reliable source mentioned that infrastructure improvements are long overdue. “Central funding could revolutionize legal services in remote areas,” an expert observed. Furthermore, better facilities would attract more legal professionals to underserved regions.
The Law Ministry’s response to this request remains awaited currently. Bar Council officials hope for positive consideration from central authorities. Moreover, they plan follow-up communications to ensure proper attention.
