Tata Motors Launches ‘Vidyadhan’ and ‘Utkarsh’ Funding Programs for Technicians’ Children

Tata Motors has launched two special funding programs, ‘Vidyadhan’ and ‘Utkarsh,’ aimed at supporting the higher education of technicians’ children. Employees at the Jamshedpur plant can apply for these programs starting Monday.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Motors has launched two special funding programs, ‘Vidyadhan’ and ‘Utkarsh,’ aimed at supporting the higher education of technicians’ children. Employees at the Jamshedpur plant can apply for these programs starting Monday.

Under the ‘Vidyadhan’ scheme, loans at concessional rates will be provided to children who have passed the 10th and 12th grades for pursuing higher education.

The ‘Utkarsh’ scheme offers additional annual scholarships specifically for girls, transgender individuals, and specially-abled children.

The announcement was made during a meeting between the management and the union held at the General Office on Friday.

The management informed that application forms for these schemes will be available with all ER officers of the company.

Employees can collect and submit their forms with the officers. A bank representative will be available daily at the establishment for two hours to assist employees with the application process.

Any issues can be addressed by contacting the ER officer.

The meeting was attended by ER officers, including ER Soumik Roy, and Tata Motors Workers Union President Gurmeet Singh, General Secretary R.K. Singh, among other members.

Details of the Vidyadhan Scheme:

Under this scheme, loans up to ₹7.5 lakh will be provided, covering up to 95% of the fees for domestic education or 85% for international education.

These loans will be facilitated in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI), with Tata Motors offering interest rate concessions.

Interest rates will be reduced by 50% for boys and by 70% for girls, transgender individuals, and specially-abled children.

Eligible students must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course of at least two years, affiliated with recognized universities or AICTE-equivalent institutions in India or abroad.

Details of the Utkarsh Scheme:

This scheme offers an annual scholarship of ₹25,000 for girls, transgender individuals, and specially-abled children pursuing higher education after passing the 10th or 12th grade.

Applicants must have secured at least 60% marks and gained admission to a recognized university or AICTE-equivalent institution in India or abroad.

Union President Gurmeet Singh and General Secretary R.K. Singh stated that these schemes will significantly aid employees’ children in obtaining higher education.
