Police Recover 1.34 Kg Gold Ornaments Worth Crores Within 24 Hours

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur police have successfully cracked the jewelry robbery case within 24 hours of the incident at Chakulia.

The robbery took place on June 30 at a jewelry merchant’s residence. However, police arrested two history-sheeter criminals on Wednesday. Moreover, they recovered stolen ornaments weighing 1340.720 grams along with weapons.

Rural SP Rishabh Garg addressed a press conference revealing case details. Meanwhile, he confirmed the arrest of two accused persons. Besides, police recovered country-made pistol, bullets, motorcycle, knife and mobile phones.

Mohammad Rafique from Mango and Niranjan Gaud from Bagbeda were arrested. However, both are known history-sheeters with criminal backgrounds. Furthermore, they have been sent to judicial custody following arrest.

The robbery occurred Monday night at gold merchant Arun Kumar Nandi’s house. Meanwhile, criminals looted approximately 1.5 kg gold-silver ornaments. Besides, they also stole cash worth Rs 1.5 lakh.

Police immediately registered the case and launched pursuit operations. However, they tracked down the criminals near Jharkhand-Bengal border area. Moreover, swift action led to their successful apprehension.

The arrested criminals possessed ornaments worth crores of rupees. Meanwhile, police also recovered cash and sophisticated weapons. Besides, the motorcycle used in the crime was also seized.

SP Garg confirmed that the third accused remains at large. However, continuous raids are being conducted for his arrest. Moreover, police teams are actively searching border areas.

The jewelry merchant’s shop is located in Chakulia’s Purana Bazaar area. Meanwhile, this incident had created panic among local businessmen. However, quick police action has restored confidence.

Police teams worked round-the-clock to solve this high-value robbery case. Besides, coordination between different units ensured swift breakthrough. Furthermore, technical surveillance helped track the criminals.

The recovered ornaments include various gold and silver items. Meanwhile, forensic examination will establish their exact value. However, initial estimates suggest they are worth several crores.

Local residents have praised police efficiency in solving the case. Moreover, the swift action demonstrates improved law enforcement capabilities. Besides, it sends a strong message to criminal elements.
