JAMSHEDPUR – The Bharatiya Janata Party has expelled four leaders in Jamshedpur, citing indiscipline during the 2024 assembly elections.

The expelled leaders, Shiv Shankar Singh, Rajkumar Singh, Vikas Singh, and Bimal Baitha, have been removed from the party for six years. BJP’s Jamshedpur Mahanagar President recommended this step, which was approved by State President Babulal Marandi.

The leaders were charged with contesting elections independently against the party’s official candidates, a move seen as a direct violation of Article 25(9) of the BJP’s constitution.

BJP officials emphasized that disciplinary action was necessary to uphold party integrity. "The organization will not tolerate members going against official candidates," a party leader said.

The BJP highlighted its commitment to maintaining strict discipline and warned that similar actions await any members undermining the party’s unity.
