JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic incident at MGM Hospital’s emergency ward resulted in a patient’s death after an oxygen cylinder fell on her.
A 50-year-old woman from Gamharia lost her life in a tragic accident at MGM Hospital’s emergency ward.
The deceased, identified as Vaishali, was admitted due to poor health on Wednesday.
Her son, Gurucharan, reported that she began struggling early Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 4 AM when Vaishali fell from her bed.
An oxygen cylinder toppled onto her, causing injuries to her head and hands.
These injuries ultimately proved fatal for the patient.
Hospital Superintendent Ravindra Kumar offered a different perspective on the cause of death.
He stated that the patient was suffering from multi-organ failure.
According to Kumar, this pre-existing condition was the primary cause of her demise.
The superintendent also mentioned that Vaishali had been admitted to the hospital multiple times before.
Following her death, the family took Vaishali’s body home.
