ADITYAPUR – Saraikela-Kharsawan police arrested three women and seized brown sugar worth Rs 7 lakh during a raid in Adityapur’s Muslim Basti.

The operation followed a confidential tip-off.

Meanwhile, SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat led the investigation.

Police recovered different quantities from each suspect.

Moreover, Rahima Khatun possessed 20.37 grams of the substance.

Furthermore, Najmunnisha had 6.35 grams in her possession.

Additionally, police found 8.71 grams with Shahida Khatun.

The main accused has links to previous drug cases.

Besides, her husband Saddam Hussein faced similar charges earlier.

“Drug trafficking remains our top priority,” stated a senior police official.

Legal Action Planned

The police will invoke strict anti-drug laws.

Moreover, PIT NDPS Act (Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988) will restrict bail possibilities.

Furthermore, four other drug peddlers face similar action.

The department maintains strict vigilance in sensitive areas.

Additionally, regular raids continue in suspected locations.

In addition, police monitor known drug hotspots closely.

“This operation delivers a strong message,” remarked a local officer.
