JAMSHEDPUR – Preparations are underway for the grand hoisting of a 100-foot-high national flag at Tatanagar Railway Station on Republic Day. The tricolor, measuring 20 x 30 feet, will be the tallest in the city. Tatanagar’s Civil Defense has meticulously planned the ceremony, ensuring a fitting tribute to the nation.
Ceremony Highlights
The flag hoisting, scheduled for 10:30 a.m., will be led by Area Manager Abhishek Singhal, who will also honor three citizens for their notable contributions. The event will include a salute to the flag by Civil Defense personnel and armed forces from the Railway Protection Force (RPF).
Officials and Participants
The ceremony will see the participation of the Station Director, employees from the commercial and operating departments, RPF officers, and Civil Defense Inspector. Rigorous rehearsals for the parade and flag march by Civil Defense personnel are ongoing.
