JAMSHEDPUR – A remarkable initiative brought smiles to 458 faces as stolen or lost phones were returned during a public event held at Sakchi’s Rabindra Bhavan. Spearheaded by SSP Kishore Kaushal under Operation Muskaan, the event marked the eighth successful phase of this project, which has so far reunited 2580 phones with their rightful owners.
SSP Kaushal highlighted the operation’s progress, sharing that 40% of the phones were recovered locally, while 60% were traced from outside the district and state. The systematic effort, involving a dedicated cell, continues to bring relief to victims of phone theft or loss.
Importance of Mobile Connectivity Highlighted
Addressing attendees, SSP Kaushal emphasized the essential role of mobile phones in daily life. “Losing a phone feels like being handicapped,” he remarked, adding that the team remains committed to their mission of retrieving stolen devices. The success of Operation Muskaan demonstrates the administration’s proactive approach to leveraging technology and resources for public benefit.
