JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has entered into a business cooperation agreement with MECON Ltd. this month, establishing a strategic alliance to deliver comprehensive integrated mining solutions across various domains, including exploration, mine planning, and environmental management.
The partnership will leverage Tata Steel’s century-long expertise in mining through its Natural Resource Division and MECON’s technical capabilities. Services offered will include resource modeling, digital mine monitoring, drone surveys, hydrogeological studies, and cost-effective mineral beneficiation.

Sundara Raman, Vice President of Raw Materials at Tata Steel, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “We are excited to commercialize our mine technical services through Tata Steel Industrial Consulting.
