JAMSHEDPUR – South Eastern Railway’s divisional committee meeting brought together MPs and officials to discuss regional railway development plans.
General Manager Anil Kumar Mishra shared infrastructure updates. Meanwhile, MPs presented concerns from their constituencies.
Infrastructure Plans
Tatanagar station will receive Rs 319 crore for development. “Tenders will be finalized by March,” stated a railway official.
Adityapur station’s transformation nears completion. Moreover, it will serve as a model station for the region.
Regional Demands
Lohardaga MP highlighted Gumla’s lack of railway connectivity. Additionally, West Singhbhum MP called for resuming pandemic-halted services.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahto chaired the significant meeting. Furthermore, he requested new train services to major cities.
Service Expansion
MPs discussed train stoppages and facility enhancements. “We need better connectivity,” remarked a participating official.
Chatra MP requested MEMU train extensions. However, several infrastructure projects await implementation.
