JAMSHEDPUR – The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur hosted 64 Class 12 Science students from PM SHRI Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Kalamati, Khunti, on January 8, 2025. The visit aimed to inspire the students by exposing them to advanced academic facilities and faculty interactions.

Hands-On Laboratory Experience

The visiting students toured the laboratories of the Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry departments, gaining practical insights into the concepts they study in their curriculum. Dr. Raj Nandkeolyar, Head of the Mathematics Department, demonstrated the use of Matlab software for solving mathematical problems, highlighting its significance in scientific computing.

Participation of Faculty and Officials

The welcome program was attended by NIT Jamshedpur Director Prof. Aryan Mohanty, Dean Student Welfare Dr. R.P. Singh, Registrar Retired Colonel Dr. Nishith Kumar Rai, and other senior officials. Heads of various departments, faculty members, and students of NIT Jamshedpur also participated, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.

Smooth Coordination of Activities

The event was facilitated by the nodal officer, Dr. Rajat Tripathi, along with Dr. Subha Sarkar and Dr. Abhishek Majhi, who ensured a seamless experience for the visiting students. The visit reinforced the commitment of both institutions to encourage academic growth and inspiration among students.
