JAMSHEDPUR – The second Annual Sports Meet of Jamshedpur Women’s University celebrated athletic excellence with the introduction of a special memorial trophy.

SSP Jamshedpur Kishor Kaushal graced the event as Chief Guest. Moreover, several dignitaries attended the closing ceremony at JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Athletic Achievements

Aditi Modak emerged as the star performer of the meet. Furthermore, she secured gold medals in both shot put and discus throw events.

The 4x100m relay team demonstrated exceptional teamwork. Meanwhile, individual athletes excelled in various track and field events.

Memorial Trophy Institution

The university honored late alumna Shanti Mukta Barla’s legacy. Additionally, the newly instituted trophy recognizes outstanding athletic performance.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta praised the university’s sports achievements. Besides, she highlighted students’ success at national and international levels.

Future Initiatives

Dr. Hasan Imam Mallick proposed new sports education programs. On the other hand, officials emphasized women’s participation in sports.

The event showcased traditional tribal dance performances. Additionally, staff members participated in special athletic events.
