MEDININAGAR – The Sikh community in Palamu celebrated the 10th Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s birth anniversary with great enthusiasm on Monday. The event took place at Belwatika Gurdwara, drawing large participation.
The week-long Akhand Path of Guru Granth Sahib concluded on Monday morning at 9 AM, followed by a devotional diwan with prayers, hymns, and kirtan. Renowned ragi Harmeet Singh from Jamshedpur, along with local hazoori ragi Sunder Singh, and singers Jaswinder Kaur, Ramanpreet Kaur, and Isika Kaur, performed shabad kirtan, captivating the devotees.
Insightful Messages On Guru’s Teachings
The program was organized by the Sri Gurdwara Guru Singh Sabha Committee. Committee President Satbir Singh Raja shed light on Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s life philosophy, emphasizing his dedication to human service. “He devoted his life to protecting the oppressed and founded the Khalsa Panth to combat injustice. His teachings inspire selfless service and societal welfare,” he stated.
Guru Ka Langar Strengthens Community Bonds
The celebration also included Guru Ka Langar at Guru Tegh Bahadur Memorial Hall. Retired bank manager Rajesh Chopra served at the langar, where a large number of people partook in the prasad. The event highlighted the spirit of equality and community.
Prominent attendees included Sardar Kuldeep Singh, Inderjit Singh Dimple, Gurveer Singh, Harpreet Singh, Rajinder Singh Bunty, Love Singh, Kush Singh, Vikramjeet Singh, and Mehr Singh.
