MEDININAGAR – The 60th session of the Cultural School run by IPTA turned into a solemn tribute to former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. Intellectuals from the city gathered to express their condolences, observing a two-minute silence in his honor.

The session, jointly presided over by Congress Education Department’s State Chairman Shyam Narayan Singh and Suresh Singh, shed light on Dr. Singh’s personality and achievements. “Though often called a silent Prime Minister, he believed in letting his actions speak louder than words,” noted the chairmen.

Remembering a Visionary Leader

Speakers at the event emphasized Dr. Singh’s transformative leadership during his decade-long tenure as Prime Minister. They recalled his pivotal role in stabilizing the country’s faltering economy and his unwavering commitment to constitutional values. “He was a man of grace and integrity who never indulged in aggressive rhetoric, even when criticized,” said KD Singh, Provincial President of the All India Kisan Sabha.

Contributions to Nation-Building

Dr. Singh’s efforts to revitalize India’s economy during a financial crisis were highlighted as a defining aspect of his leadership. Participants commended his calm demeanor and ethical governance, which left an indelible mark on India’s political and economic landscape.

Gathering of Prominent Personalities

The event saw participation from various intellectuals and activists, including PUCL State Executive Member Nishat Khan, Hemant Das of Jharkhand Labor Farmers’ Union, and teacher union leaders Shailendra Sharma and Achche Lal Prajapati. IPTA National Executive Member Upendra Kumar Mishra praised Dr. Singh’s poise amid political attacks post-2014, calling it a testament to his dignified leadership.

Among those present were Ajit Kumar, Samresh Singh, Sanjeev Kumar Sanju, Shashi Pandey, and Vikas Singh, who paid heartfelt tributes to the former Prime Minister.
