JAMSHEDPUR – The Jamshedpur BJP unit faces an escalating crisis as mass resignations mark a new chapter in its ongoing internal conflict. Over 70 members, led by Parshudih Mandal General Secretary Devendra Kumar Singh, submitted their resignations to Senior District Vice President Sanjeev Sinha.
Leadership Criticized for Style and Decisions
The dissidents have accused President Sudhanshu Ojha of undermining organizational integrity. Singh expressed his frustration, stating, “The president’s decisions often bypass capable workers, favoring his close allies instead.” This dissatisfaction stems from allegations of arbitrary appointments and neglect of effective contributors within the party.
Membership Drive Sparks More Discontent
Tensions peaked during the membership campaign when Ram Singh Munda was appointed as the membership in-charge, bypassing suggested candidates. Workers allege they received unsatisfactory responses when questioning this decision. They further accuse the president of using social media to spread misinformation against office bearers.
Growing Protest and Resignations
Over 200 officials and workers across 54 booths have announced plans to step down. “Compromising self-respect is not an option. This leadership style is unacceptable,” Singh remarked. Observers note the growing discord threatens BJP’s stability in Jamshedpur.
