JAMSHEDPUR – Govind Vidyalaya, Tamulia, conducted its Annual Sports Competition featuring diverse athletic events and creative competitions.
The school has been organizing this event for over two decades. Moreover, it focuses on both competitive sports and recreational activities.
“Such events help develop team spirit and sportsmanship,” remarked a sports expert. The competition saw enthusiastic participation across age groups.
Distinguished Guests
W. Rehman, retired headmaster of Government High School Jadugoda, attended as chief guest. Meanwhile, Athletics District Coach Krishna Sika shared valuable insights.
State Coordinator Para Yogasana Shubham Kumar graced the occasion. Additionally, social worker Ajmal Balkhi and other dignitaries encouraged participants.
Competitive Events
Senior students competed in 100-meter and 400-meter relay races. However, juniors enjoyed creative events like balloon bursting.
The “Get Ready for School” race added innovation to traditional sports. Furthermore, spoon and marble races tested participants’ coordination skills.
Outstanding Achievements
Akanksha Kumari of Class XI displayed exceptional athletic prowess. Her performance earned her the Best Athlete title.
Teachers Shikha Singh and Aayushi Nidhi managed the event seamlessly. Students Zara Khan and Sarah Ali assisted in anchoring duties.
