SDO Leads Campaign to Clear Traffic Congestion Hotspots

Key Points:

  • No-parking enforcement drive conducted for the fourth consecutive day
  • Strict warnings issued to violators at Sakchi roundabout and nearby areas
  • Administration appeals for public cooperation to keep roads congestion-free

JAMSHEDPUR – In a bid to streamline traffic in Jamshedpur, the district administration, under the directive of Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, continued its no-parking enforcement drive for the fourth consecutive day. The operation was led by Dhalbhum Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Shatabdi Majumdar, targeting Sakchi roundabout and surrounding areas. Vehicle owners were issued stern warnings against parking in no-parking zones.

Public Awareness Appeal

SDO Shatabdi Majumdar urged citizens to cooperate with the administration to ensure smooth traffic flow in the city. She appealed to media, civil society, and social and business organizations to help raise awareness among residents.

She emphasized that responsible behavior from citizens is essential to maintaining congestion-free roads. “Everyone must fulfill their social responsibilities and avoid actions that create inconvenience for others. Vehicles should only be parked in designated parking zones,” she added.

Causes of Traffic Congestion

The SDO highlighted illegal parking on roads and in no-parking zones as the primary causes of traffic congestion. She stressed the need for behavioral change among residents to address this issue effectively.

Officials Join Enforcement Drive

The campaign saw active participation from Executive Magistrate Chandrajeet Singh, Traffic Inspector Manoj Kumar, and other officials. They ensured strict enforcement of no-parking rules and spread awareness regarding the importance of proper vehicle parking to ease traffic congestion.

The administration remains committed to making Jamshedpur’s traffic system efficient and ensuring hassle-free movement for its residents.
