SSP Inspects PCR Patrol Teams in Sonari, Kadma and Bistupur

JAMSHEDPUR – The Senior Superintendent of Police of East Singhbhum carried out a surprise inspection of the city’s security arrangements late Tuesday night. The exercise began around 10 pm and covered several key localities.
Officers reviewed deployment in the Sonari, Kadma and Bistupur police station areas. The SSP examined Police Control Room patrol vehicles and personnel stationed in these localities.
The unannounced visit put the police department on alert. However, officials said such checks are meant to keep field units prepared at all times.
During the inspection, the SSP reviewed the activity levels of patrol teams. He also assessed their deployment patterns and the state of night patrolling across the city.
He instructed personnel to take strict action against loitering by unruly elements. Officers were also told to act firmly against anti-social activities that could disturb law and order.
In addition, the SSP asked for regular anti-crime checking drives. These drives are meant to verify suspicious individuals and vehicles moving through the city.
He further directed that any information about illegal or criminal activity during patrols be shared immediately. Such details must reach the concerned station house officer Jamshedpur police and the control room without delay, he said, so that swift action can follow.
“Crime control and the safety of ordinary citizens remain the police force’s top priority,” the SSP said. He added that night patrolling would be made more effective going forward.
Meanwhile, the SSP said criminals would be kept under close watch through these efforts. He noted that public confidence in the security system must be maintained at all times.
Moreover, the district police administration indicated that similar surprise inspections would continue in the coming days. Officials said this would help keep law and order stable across Jamshedpur.
This is not the first time senior officers have carried out unannounced checks on patrol units. Similar drives, including a night patrol review and a late-night station inspection, have been conducted in the past to keep field staff alert.
Officers pointed out that a snatching-control strategy already exists in the city. A recent reshuffle in the police force was also aimed at strengthening ground-level supervision.
Besides regular patrols, the force has in the past run anti-crime checking campaigns across sensitive pockets of the city. Such drives have previously helped in recovering stolen property for residents.
Officials also referred to an online guest verification facility introduced earlier to track visitors staying at city hotels.
