JAMSHEDPUR – Fast bowler Varun Aaron has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket through social media.

The speedster shared his emotional farewell. “Fast bowling has been my first love,” Aaron wrote in his statement.

International Career

Aaron made his India debut in 2011. His ability to bowl at 150kmph caught national attention.

Meanwhile, injuries affected his progress. Stress fractures limited his international appearances.

Moreover, he represented India until 2015. He claimed 18 Test and 11 ODI wickets.

Domestic Journey

The pacer played his last red-ball game recently. Jharkhand versus Rajasthan was his final Ranji match.

Furthermore, he concluded with Vijay Hazare Trophy. His final season yielded three wickets.

Professional Achievement

Aaron played for multiple IPL teams. His journey included stints with six franchises.

In addition, he won the IPL with Gujarat Titans. The 2022 triumph marked his career highlight.

The MRF Pace Foundation graduate now works as an analyst. He contributes to IPL broadcasts on Star Sports.
