JAMSHEDPUR – Mukhtar Alam Khan, Mango Municipal Corporation’s ambassador, led a cleanliness pledge ceremony after Friday prayers, promoting waste management awareness.
The campaign aims to boost citizen participation in the Swachh Survekshan 2024 mission. “Community involvement is crucial for maintaining cleanliness in our neighborhoods,” a municipal official stated.
Waste Management Focus
The oath highlighted proper waste segregation methods. Residents learned about separating dry and wet waste effectively.
Composting techniques for kitchen waste received special attention. “Converting wet waste into compost helps create a sustainable environment,” a local environmental expert explained.
Community Support
Deputy Municipal Commissioner Suresh Yadav provided guidance for the initiative. Several community leaders attended the event.
Bachpan Play School Director Matinul Haq Ansari supported the cause. Retired MGM Medical College member Haji Jameel Asgar joined the ceremony.
