Key Points:

  • Digital X-ray services to commence in early December.

  • Technicians are undergoing training for effective operation.

  • BPL category patients to receive free digital X-ray services.

MEDININAGAR – Palamu district is set to enhance its medical imaging capabilities by introducing digital X-ray services in select hospitals and health centers.

The introduction of digital X-ray machines aims to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient care. Technicians are currently receiving specialized training to ensure the effective operation of these machines. Dr. Kumar emphasized that patients from the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category will access these services free of charge, while others will be charged minimal fees, determined by the respective hospital management committees.

In addition to the digital X-ray facilities, Palamu will receive two Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances, four Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances, and a mortuary vehicle. One ALS ambulance will be stationed at Chhatarpur, and the other at Tarhasi Community Health Center. These resources are provided through the District Mineral Foundation Trust (DMFT) or untied funds, as facilitated by Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan.

Furthermore, Power Grid India Limited, Lahlhe, is set to provide a CT scan machine to the Sadar Hospital. This machine will be installed on the ground floor of the diagnostic building, with all necessary procedures currently underway.
