JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant policy announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled a resolution letter that seeks to revolutionize the economic environment for small traders and street vendors across India.
Suresh Sonthalia, National Secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), highlighted the pivotal components of this resolution during its release in New Delhi.
According to the resolution, the Mudra Scheme’s credit limit will be increased to Rs 20 lakh, aiming to transform 3 crore women into Lakhpati Didi, a term denoting financial self-sufficiency.
Furthermore, the Pradhan Mantri Swanidhi Yojana, initially targeted at urban vendors, will extend its benefits to village enterprises.
Sonthalia expressed that these measures are set to create a significant shift in the country’s economic dynamics.
"This is a big change in the country’s economy that will not only increase the business of small shopkeepers but also promote self-business and create massive employment opportunities," he stated.
The resolution document, described by Sonthalia as a "document of progress," underscores a commitment to India’s cultural, civilizational, and economic prosperity under Modi’s continued leadership.
"The roadmap for better development of all sections has been released, and Prime Minister Modi’s announcement about the priorities of the first 100 days after winning the elections showcases his seriousness and commitment to his goals," Sonthalia added.
This ambitious blueprint promises a progressive trajectory for India, aiming to make significant strides in economic development and social empowerment.
