JAMSHEDPUR – The INDIA alliance appears headed for a landmark victory in Jharkhand’s assembly elections. And the biggest credit is being apportioned to its Maiyan Samman Yojana.
Election Commission data shows strong coalition performance. JMM leads the charge with 33 seats.
Moreover, Congress maintains leads in 17 constituencies. RJD shows strength in 5 seats.
Meanwhile, BJP trails significantly. They lead in only 21 seats statewide.
However, this election witnessed unprecedented female participation. Women voters dominated 68 constituencies.
Furthermore, the enhanced Maiya Samman Yojana proved decisive. Monthly assistance increased to Rs 2,500.
"Women’s welfare schemes resonated strongly," noted a political analyst.
Besides, overall voter turnout reached 67.74%. Both polling phases saw enthusiastic participation.
In addition, the first phase recorded 66% turnout. The second phase showed higher engagement at 68%.
On the other hand, BJP’s Gogo Didi Yojna failed to attract voters. It promised Rs 2,100 monthly.
"Voters preferred existing welfare programs," remarked a social sector expert.
Meanwhile, this victory could make history. No coalition has secured consecutive terms before.
