Tata Zoo to Launch Online Ticketing Feature Soon

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel Zoological Park, one of Jamshedpur’s key attractions, is set to introduce a new website with an online ticketing system, expected to launch within the next two months.

The announcement comes amidst a comprehensive restructuring of the zoo as per the revised master plan approved by the Central Zoo Authority.

The revamped infrastructure includes new enclosures for herbivores, crocodiles, gharials, hyenas, and leopards.

The information that Tata Steel Zoological Park’s New Website will have a provision for online ticketing was given to Mr. Shashank Shekhar Swain, in a letter.

The website is likely to be launched within the next 2 months.

This information was given to Mr. Shashank Shekhar Swain, member of the Indian Railways Fan Club and a Rail, Aviation and Space enthusiast responding to his query about the zoo website.

Dr. Akhtar, in his letter says, the zoo also now features a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital with facilities for postmortem and incineration, alongside a Butterfly House and a fully operational CCTV surveillance system covering the entire area.

Modernized Infrastructure and Visitor Facilities

According to Dr. Naim Akhtar, Deputy Director of Tata Steel Zoological Park, significant infrastructure updates have already been completed.

“The restructuring includes a new entry plaza and several animal enclosures,” said Dr. Akhtar.

A detailed list of completed updates includes:

  • Animal Enclosures: Herbivores, crocodiles, gharials, hyenas, and leopards.

  • Facilities: Veterinary hospital with CTA, incinerator, postmortem house, and Butterfly House.

  • Safety: Zoo-wide CCTV surveillance.

Online Ticketing and Website Features

The forthcoming website, nearing completion, is designed to enhance user convenience with its online ticketing functionality.

The zoo management expressed confidence that the upgraded infrastructure and digital services will significantly improve the visitor experience.
