West Singhbhum Police Seize Rs 3.15 Crore Worth of Doda in Anti-Drug Operation
Crackdown on Drug Smugglers in Naxal-Affected Tebo Police Station Area
In a significant anti-drug operation, West Singhbhum police seized over Rs 3 crore worth of doda, although the smugglers managed to flee.
JAMSHEDPUR – Acting on a directive from West Singhbhum SP Ashutosh Shekhar, the district police launched a major operation against drug dealers in the Naxal-affected Tebo police station area.
The operation led to the seizure of doda worth more than Rs 3 crore 15 lakh.
Despite the successful seizure, the smugglers escaped.
The raid was conducted on the banks of the Chaki river, about 1 km south of village Paraiya.
The police team was formed after SP Ashutosh Shekhar received secret information about the illegal storage of doda.
During the raid, the team discovered 83 plastic bags containing poppy husk (doda) amidst jungle bushes.
The total amount recovered was 2100 kg, valued at Rs 3 crore 15 lakh.
Further action is being taken against the unknown criminals involved in this incident.
The police are actively searching for the smugglers.
